JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform upkeep of the City and the City’s Facilities
- Clean and repair sewers, ditches, signs, and sidewalks
- Perform street and road repairs
- Runs mower and performs various landscaping duties, as well as leaf pickup, mulching, tree trimming and branch chipping
- Plows snow throughout City streets and City property
- Operation of motor vehicles related to work duties
- Perform various duties on construction projects
- Must participate in all city-sponsored training & continuing education activities including classroom, manufacturer provided seminars etc.
- Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to recognize potentially unsafe conditions and behaviors and correct them in a positive and appropriate manner.
- Must be able to obtain a valid State of Ohio, Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement and an acceptable driving record.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
