The City of Louisville, Ohio located in Stark County, approximately 7 miles east of Canton, Ohio, is seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional supervisory and administrative skills to serve as Deputy Service Director. This multifaceted position is under the direction of the Service Director and will assist with planning, organizing and directing the activities, projects and administration of the Service Department with all public works aspects of the City, including the street department, utilities, parks, and land and buildings. Uses considerable independent judgment and initiative within city policy framework. 

Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required, related bachelor’s degree preferred along with a minimum of five years of increasingly responsible public works experience including three to five years of management responsibility, to include personnel management. Ohio EPA water and/or wastewater operator's licenses preferred. Must be technologically oriented and capable of implementing the best available equipment, safety and management practices. Must possess knowledge of state and federal regulations governing construction site safety; ability to assist in planning, supervising and implementing work programs; ability to investigate service complaints and develop proposals for operational improvement.

Position requires strong management and supervisory skills and excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Must possess valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain City’s insurance. The annual salary is $72,196.80 -$86,239.37 (depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications) and includes an excellent benefits package.
