The City of Oberlin is accepting applications for a Full-Time General Maintenance Division Superintendent. The Superintendent plans and directs all functions of the General Maintenance Division, including but not limited to:street maintenance and repair; storm water and waste water collection; solid waste, recycling and composting operations; and vehicle and equipment procurement, operations and maintenance.The Superintendent supervises 12 to 15 FT personnel in the performance of these functions. The GMD Superintendent performs various administrative duties, assists the Public Works Director and City Engineer in strategic planning and provides additional support to the Public Works Director as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a college degree is preferred, and at least five (5) years of previous experience in a related position involving direct supervisory responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the skills and abilities necessary to perform the job.The position requires a valid state of Ohio driver’s license; a valid Ohio commercial driver’s license is preferred. A valid OEPA Class II Sanitary Sewer Collection Operator license or the ability to acquire same is preferred.
Salary Range: $65,000-$87,500/Year D.O.Q.
