The APWA Ohio Chapters proudly announces the Ohio Public Service Institute (OHPSI) on September 24th through 29th at our NEW LOCATION, the beautiful Sawmill Creek by Cedar Point Resorts in Huron, Ohio!


OHPSI is a unique training opportunity that promotes and encourages professional development through education and training specifically designed for Public Works supervisors and managers.


Courses include three one-week sessions, focusing on Leadership Development, Service Excellence and Supervisory Skills. These sessions are non-sequential and one may begin the three-year cycle at any time.

About the Institute:

Registration cost is $995 for the Institute (lodging is separate) includes classes, materials, breaks and these meals:
  • Breakfast Monday through Friday
  • Lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
  • Dinner on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday

Thursday is “Directors’ Day” and offers an opportunity for directors or bosses to learn more about OHPSI.

Stipends
We are proud to announce that APWA Ohio will be awarding five stipends in the amount of $595.00 each. To apply for one of these stipends you must submit your application and registration by June 30, 2023 to   OhioPsiStipends@gmail.com. Application forms are found at ohpsi.org/stipends.

To become an OHPSI graduate, attendance is required at all sessions, all three years, including evening functions that include classes, group meals, and activities. Please do not register for OHPSI unless you can commit to attending all sessions. See attached packet for details.

OHIO PUBLIC SERVICE INSTITUTE

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

In 2021, The Ohio Chapter of the American Public Works Association implemented the Ohio Public Service Institute (OHPSI) to promote and encourage development through cutting edge education and training specifically for Public Works supervisors and managers.    This program involves three annual one-week sessions focusing on Leadership Development, Service Excellence and Supervisory Skills.  This year’s session is scheduled for September 24-29, 2023 and is expected to have nearly 80 participants from Ohio and surrounding states.  

 

To assist with funding this very important training initiative in Ohio the Ohio Chapter is offering the following opportunities to help sponsor this annual event.  If you think your company would be interested in assisting the Ohio Chapter with this educational program, contact information is provided below.

 

Breakfast Sponsor:         $600 per meal (5 are available)

 

Lunch Sponsor:               $800 per meal (3 are available)

 

Each of the eight (8) sponsorships include the following:

 

  • Table top tent card identifying the sponsor at each of the tables and at the head and end of the serving line.
  • Sponsors can make business cards available which will be provided to each participant
  • Sponsors are encouraged to offer a company token of their choice for each participant (key chain, pen, hat, etc).
  • The Institute will include a summary sheet for each participant providing sponsor contact information.  Each Sponsor is asked to provide a graphic of your company logo for these materials.
